Bella's Pregnancy

So -- with that being said -- what did you think of the depiction of Bella's pregnancy, from the first twinges of her stomach muscles on Isle Esme up to the birth ..... while it would be hard to say that it was portrayed realistically (how realistic could the birth of a half vampire half human baby be - hahaha), did you think that the filmmakers did it justice?

From the makeup to the prosethetic belly to the 'nutrition' ...... was it what you thought it would be? Would you have done anything differently? If so, what?

Oh. My. Goodness. I cannot believe how unbelievable realistic, sickly and pitiful they made Bella look. Perfection, I think.

I am just amazed at this whole movie. Now I can't sleep.

I'm really wanting to comment on the birth, and it says above it has its own thread but I can't find it...where should I post these comments?

I couldn't believe how thin they made her look and how you could really see that the baby was using everything Bella had. They did an excellent job!

I was impressed with Bella's pregnancy. Watching Bella drink the blood was just as gross as I had imagined, but it was very well depicted.

I also want to comment on the bond that Bella and Edward had once Edward realized that the baby loved Bella as much as she loved her; It was so natural and so real and it felt like you were watching a happy couple excited over their first child. It was such a beautiful moment.

I thought they covered the pregnancy really well. When I seen her emaciated body and her protective love towards the baby it felt believable.

I too thought they did an exellent job with this. Over here in Australia, the critics slammed the way she looked. The called her "snow white on drugs"!!! I was like "what?" she was SUPPOSE to look like that!. I felt ill every time I looked at her, but thats how it was suppose to be. She was suppose to look like she was slowly dying, and that she did!

I imagine she was going to be really skinny,but they really did really good.Kristen was amazing on this movie.

Impressive! I can not believe how real it looked! It's amazing what they can do with special effects!

When I read the books, I got this picture in my mind and it wasn't pretty.She looked horrific and her drinking the blood was hard to watch,but she did for the health of her baby. It's what happened and I think they did a great job with it. I'm happy with how they did it.

Incredible job making Bella look like the baby was starving her. When she looks in the mirror in the bathroom with Rosalie you really get a punch in the gut. What a vivd picture of what a mother would suffer for her child.

Oh she looked absolutley horrific-as she should have! I thought it was excellent and really impressed by Kristen's portrayal of a protective, dying Bella. I couldn't have asked for better. Critics that slam the movies need to read the books!

The pregnancy was amazing and terrifying and sad and I thought it was done perfectly. I didn't realize that I would have such difficulty watching it. It felt and looked so real. And I choked up each time they showed her. And Bella lying on the table after giving birth, I had to hold back the tears!!
Rosalie the body guard was fantastic!!
