Thread: Breaking Dawn was incredible! Loved it!

Loved, loved loved it. The way they tied in the music and the transformation and even when Jacob imprinted it didn't seem pervy. I loved it all.

Breaking Dawn part 1 is by far the best of the Saga to date. It encompasses the emotions of love, humor, sadness, and fear in the book so perfectly. I am so pleased with director Bill Condon I could kiss him.
As we saw in Eclipse some directors sign on just for the money. I'm so glad Condon treated Breaking Dawn like art instead of a paycheck. Anyway.
The story of BD is complex and breaking it into two parts was necessary for the translation into film but could leave those looking for a clear story arc a little lost. The plot arcs over the entire book and cutting it down the middle interrupts the flow. I say this only to try to reconcile how someone could not think this movie is amazing. (blasted critics) I think this time next year when we see both parts back to back we will appreciate Breaking Dawn as a whole even more.
To touch on why I really love this movie, Edward. He finally is the dark self-loathing self-proclaimed monster that he is in the books.(and he looks incredible on screen, swoon) I really think Condon let the actors be their characters so much more than in previous movies.
Kristen did the best portrayal of a dead person I have ever seen. I found myself questioning whether or not Bella was really going to die.
Taylor really did a great job with Jacob this time. He brought me to tears several times. I'm so glad he stepped up his performance from Eclipse.
The rest of the cast was exceptional too. Some honorable mentions go to Billy Burke. Who knew Charlie was such a card? Anna Kendrick, finally a smug jealous Jessica just like in the books. The whole cast really did an amazing job portraying their characters this time round. I am so pleased.
I plan on seeing it many more times to catch all the little nuances you can miss and am desperate to know the DVD release date.
Oh why is November 2012 a whole year away?

Condon smacked this out of the park. I am stunned by how this movie has affected me, completely stunned. I can't think about anything else.

The performances were pitch-perfect and the film was visually amazing. It has enough layering to satisfy even me; I'll be happily over-analyzing every subtly embedded connection and meaningful nuance to my heart's content. Condon's interpretation has transformed my least-favorite of the books into something entirely new to me. It's an epiphany, of sorts.

I count the hours until my next viewing, and the next after that, and the next after that, and I'll be pacing the floor until the dvd is released. I have been mesmerized.

OMBD! I loved it. I go in to the movies with no expectations because nothing compares to the book. But Breaking Dawn? Holy crow! It was amazing. I sat there surprised in places, as if I didn't know what was going to happen. I'm watching Edward fight to save Bella and actually wondering, is she going to make it?? And I agree with megoann, Kristen nailed the pregnacy and death scenes.

I cried along with Jacob as he mourned his loss, smiled at the wedding, drooled during the honeymoon. Sigh. It was like I was right there in the movie rather than watching it. I'm so happy with the way it turned out. Team Condon!

Thanks singer, bittenbytwilight, silentjen, pixie, vamp tramp, Bella&Edward2006, HeatherJoy777,cathypodd, Bella and the adoption team!

Wow this movie was FANTASTIC!!! I laughed, I cried there was plenty of emotion is this story! The acting was the best. I can't wait to go see it again! When Bella started walking down the aisle all nervous and then when she looks up and sees Edward I could've just died! The confidence in Bella after that moment. Wow!!

I loved it!! I think I would have loved it even if I didn't love the books. The other movies I love because I love the books but this one made me almost forget the other movies completely. He did an amazing job!!! I love it!! I was so happy they didn't have her narrating the whole time I always hated that!

Loved it, went 4 times over the weekend, but I do feel the Imprinting scene was a bit cheesy during the close up of Reneseme.

I am so happy with how they made this movie. I loved all three, but for me this is the best one. I think that Bill Condon did a fantastic job with all the sensitive subject matter, the placing of the music was great and the acting was amazing! Although from reading the books I always knew how intense the feelings were between Edward and Bella, I always left each movie never really feeling it, except for now. That's not to say all of the others weren't good because they were. I've seen BD three times so far and it has really moved me.From the wedding, to the images of Edward trying to save Bella,to the final moments of her transformation set to the beautiful music, they are all are stuck in my mind. Happily so at that. I feel like I did when I first discovered Twilight. And that's a good thing. I know I'm going on here but I can't really out into words how much I love this movie ( wolf telepathy and all!! LOL)

Thanks to Vamp Tramp, Singer and D2LG for my siggy!

Finally got to see the movie on Sunday and I loved it!! I think it's the best one so far and really thought Rob, Kristens and Taylors acting was amazing in this one. I laughed and cried and cried some more and can't wait to get the dvd when it's released.
