I had a group of 4 girls and myself that would talk about it with me and we would message each other with every little thing that we found about anything Twilight!! A little bit before Eclipse came out one of the girls sent the other 4 of us a message saying how she was "so over this Twilight crazy and didn't want to be sent any message or talk about it at all anymore".... Ok then there was 4 of us but wait about 2 days ago I messaged my 3 friends about BD and got back one message saying they were "over it but still liked the books and movies but just don't care about anything to do with it and I gave away all my Twilight saga stuff" and yet another girl told me she thinks that summet wanted to have the BD photos out there because " they want everyone to know that Rob is and always will be Edward and only Edward".... So as I was reading this I got to thinking am I the only Twilight fan left??? I see that I was really the only TRUE Twilight fan out of my friends if they are as they say "so over it"... Am I the only one that is seeing this happen? Please tell me I am not alone with my Twilight love!!!
I definitly relate to that - when BD1 was about to come out, I was chatting to some friends and asked them if they wanted to go, and was flabbergasted when they said no. Over the years I've seen a lot of people 'grow out of it', so I'm very glad to be able to come here and be as obsessive as I like (and not be treated like an immature wierdo!)

Well, all those folks who are "over it" could give me the Twilight Saga stuff they no longer want. I am NOT over it, so their stuff will come to a good home where it will be on permanent display in an entire room devoted solely to Twilight! (Of course, my Twilight Room is pretty nearly full, but I'll find the space ).

Your DH sounds so awesome, Shimmer. My DH doesn't complain about what money I spend on merchandise, but I can just imagine what he would say if I actually display anything more than the books on the shelf where visitors could see it. I don't have access to anything locally. I have to have it shipped to me.
That's why I love the exchanges, even to see what other TMs receive.

I am recently obsessed compared to many of the TMs here and am hesitant about talking to people about my love of TS. Negative comments would be so hurtful. My technique has been very low-key. When I am with friends, I test for a reaction to a few dropped quotes in normal conversation, before I would say anything about it at all. None of my current friends have reacted. Doesn't seem to be any TMs nearby on the site either. Made wonderful friends here but they are all long distance. My DD is my only constant companion for Twi talk in person. This site is such a blessing to my obsession. Thank you all sooo much.

    Cheers,

I think that's a very sensible method if you're somewhat shy about professing your obsession.

I find that I'm talking to others about it less and less - especially since most of those who used to 'obsess' with me have 'grown out of it'
Hence why I love it on here!

I am completly obsessed with the Twiligt saga... I have read the books 16 times and still cry during New Moon... My friends and I are even planning a trip to Forks Washington... Im just glad that I have a couple friends who are just as consumed as I am. I dont think that a story like this will ever die. Look at stories like Romeo and Juliet... they are 100's of years old and everybody knows the story. Twilight in my opinion is eternal.

I don't think I will ever not love twiight. I started with Dracula, then interview and Buffy was my all time fav. Twilight is so unique I think that it will always be prevalent. I started writing my own vampire novel years ago and finally finished it. I'm obsessed for life.
