Sonia, use the instructions posted in my original post to help you do that.

After struggling for forever with my Photoshop Elements trying to set the frame delay to something other than 0.2 seconds - I did a little research and you can't reset the frame delay with Photoshop Elements 6.0. The Adobe site says "it's a known problem" but there is no fix listed. Grrrr.

Just wanted to let people know in case they were having the same problem.

What you could do Julie, is have a lot of frames that are the same (i.e.: 0.2 + 0.2 + 0.2 etc) . It would work around that but your file size would be huge if you wanted more than about 2 or 3 images. After about 1.5MB in size photobucket usually has a bit of a mini-fit in uploading.

I have a question. I've tried using makeagif.com, but for some reason, it'll never load after I click the 'create gif' button. I've been using another website to make my signature rotate, but it makes the pictures really small. Does anybody know of another one that won't squish the different banners of my signature?

    I found this website

    http://www.myspacegens.com/handler.php?gen=animatedimage

And it kept my pictures the size I had them at!

Well, I'm glad that I am not the only one who has a problem with Makeagif. It just doesn't work after you click submit. Thanks for the new site to try!

Re: How to make an animated GIF for use in signatures

I finally got makeagif.com to work for me, but when I come over to post in my signature, it says I can only have 300 characters, I think. I can't use all 12 boxes for my siggy; only 6 fits TM profile. Has anyone else had that problem?

Thanks singer, bittenbytwilight, silentjen, pixie, vamp tramp, Bella&Edward2006, HeatherJoy777,cathypodd, Bella and the adoption team!

It should be making a GIF for you that you can just save with one short filename... I'm not sure I know what you mean about using all 12 boxes...

Sorry, I thought I wasn't making sense with that post.

You can have up to 12 images with makeagif.com. I upload all my pics and then save it to photobucket, but when I come here to update my siggy, it says something like the limit for images is 300 characters. I can only use 6 images.

    Ah! *lightbulb*

What TMs is saying to you is that you have too much in your sig box... ie too much text. That happened to me once or twice, but there are ways around it. First, you should keep the file name short. Second, don't organize your sig file into a subfolder in photobucket, as this will add more characters to the URL of the file. Finally, keep the text in your sig short and simple. Making text huge, bold and colored etc will also use up your character allowance.

The sig you're using right now doesn't have any of those problems, but if what you are trying to do does, you get the character allowance message. So it really isn't the number of pictures you have, just how much you are typing in.

Its also worth trying to click submit a few times too; just to be sure!!
