Feeling blue and frustrated right now, it is hard to explain to everyone who doesn't really "know" me. Hoping to be able to talk to my Twilight big sister tonight, she has really became the Angela in my life. I am so happy to be able to talk to her.
Hi ladies,
I was thinking that this time of year the winter weather can make folks extra blue and not just from be cold either.I hope all of y'all who struggle with depression feel a warm hug from me if you are having a tougher time right now.

We have speculated on another thread that Edward may have had some Seasonal Affective Disorder from living in dark gloomy places. Besides my DH, friends and books are my sunshine and we certainly know Bella and Edward were great readers.

Hi, Lynn and Moon. I haven't checked in here in a while either. Death touched my family again and I thought of Edward saying that eventually everyone you know is dead. But then two dear friends had babies. And I remembered to focus on the future. on the forever. Doing much better now.
Moon, sorry you are feeling down.

Thanks to Silentjen, BeautifulDisaster and Secsec1 for my awesome siggie! and Ava1981 for my new title.
I have been a bit off myself and I think it is because of extra work stressors. I often feel pulled in all directions and I want to desperately meet all my obligations both professionally and personally. Lately, I have been finding that harder to do. I am just trying to exercise patience and pray for understanding.
Moon, April and Lauralee hugs to you all.![]()

I think women often feel like Tasmanian Devils(the cartoon one) spinning in a frenzy trying to get so many things done at once and keeping all together.![]()
I get really stressed if too much is going on because I want to do everything really well and that's not always possible. Bella certainly shut down when Edward left and once she found a foot hold back to life with Jacob, it took awhile get her life back. We also do not have the infinite strength and time of vampires to "get er done" so we have too do our best and let the rest go.

Sorry for the double post but I think those of us who relate to this thread are frequently in need of a hug now and then. So here are a few quotes for anybody who needs a boost today. A discussion on another thread reminded me that like Bella, we must learn to block the negative thoughts.
"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker. "
~ Helen Keller
"Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory."
~ Betty Smith

"Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on yesterdays."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you for these wonderful quotes, Lynn!![]()
I can't believe I found a site for depression. I am going through some very lows right now and I don't know how to break out of it. I feel very lonely all the time. I'm going to go back and read some of the other posts.
Mod Note: Due to the length of this discussion, this thread's discussion is continued on Depression and Twilight Part II
