Hi all. I'm hoping to technically be a "TwiMom" you don't have to be a mom. No kids here but I have two beautiful nephews that I raised from pups to become Twilight fans. Live just outside of Philadelphia. Love the Twilight books/movies and I'm on "Team Edward" but love all the actors outside of the Twilight stuff. I'm old, as my nephews and nieces keep reminding me, but so very young at heart. And that is all I can think of at the moment. Looking forward to chatting with all of you.

Why I love Twilight

Twilight is the ultimate love story, a man who loves a woman for all she is, who puts her first before his ultimate desires, protects her, always thinks of her first, that is what most women want, and he has a sense of humor, he is beautiful, and he is old fashioned, and very intelligent, who could ask for more? Oh yea, and just the little benefit of being wealthy, no need to fight over money can always help a relationship along. The Vampires and Werewolves just make the story that more interesting, and the way Stephanie strings together and rationalizes how each book continues to the next is just amazing. The first time I read the books I couldn't believe how she always explained why something happened or how it was totally related to another event in the previous books. Twilight is the only series of books that I couldn't put down for ANYTHING! I'm a mother of five daughters and while reading these books they didn't see me, I read while in the tanning bed one time, I held my arm out the side and peeked through the crack in the side of the bed, I took pillows and a blanket in my walk in closet and shut the door to hide from the kids while I read, I know poor kids lol! This is just a remarkable series that has taken people by storm, love them!

Hi! I am so excited to meet other Twilight mom's out there! This is my first post I just watched the movie Destination Twilight where I found out about this web site! I work as a registered nurse in Iowa where I have trouble finding ANYONE who is as dedicated to this series as myself! My friends and co-workers tease me lightly about my fandom but I still remain loyal! I am looking forward to meeting others out there my age and of all ages for that matter who LOVE the Twilight series as much as I do! Thanks for making a site where moms can go to express their thoughts about these books/movies!

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR THE EXCHANGE -- PLEASE READ!!

1. Each participant will be sent the name of three TMs to mail cards to, and will receive three cards in return. You can buy a card, or get creative and make one of your own!
2. By signing up, you are making a commitment to your fellow TMs. If, for some reason, you are unable to follow through with the exchange, PLEASE PM me as soon as possible! We�ll try to do what we can so that no one is left disappointed.
3. If you wish to include a small token with your card (like a piece of candy, a bookmark, or a magnet) that is perfectly acceptable but not required. Remember, this is a CARD exchange, so nothing too expensive!
4. Please allow plenty of time when mailing your cards so they arrive on or before June 17th, 2012.

The mail-by date
for US TMs is June 11th (one week)
and for international moms it is June 4th (two weeks).

Has anyone had a look at this book/read it? Being in the UK I haven't actually seen the show as such, just stumbled across some clips on youtube, and find this insight into a different culture/way of life quite interesting(don't think I could handle it(!), but learning about it is a nice opportunity).

When ex-Army medic Samantha Garrett inadvertently disrupts the plot and saves Micah’s life, a chain reaction sets Micah’s heart on a collision course with Sam’s, but he will have to protect her from Apostle and her obsessive ex-husband, Steve, if they will have a chance at forever. Can Micah hold his emotions together to keep Sam alive?

I think amazon had suggested me that book and I was interested because I recognized the model on the cover (I'm an Adrei Andrei fan). I downloaded the sample and decided to read it after my next book. Accidently I "met" the author on facebook a few days later and got in a short conversation with her (she commented on a post of friend of mine). That was fun. I promised her an honest review. Here it is:

I really loved this book. It is PNR and it has traits that reminds of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. But let's face it - it is not BDB. So much said at the beginning. And that is good because these books are already getting written by Mrs. Ward. Donya Lynne creates another world - not as absolute as BDB. Her characters have different abilities. For example: Yes, we find "mating" and "bonding", but it must not be unbreakable. Some of the vampires are able to walk outside during the days (due to the fact that they have human blood, too). So - even if the book isn't as long and complex, there are different ideas already behind it, that makes me want to read more. Thus saying: My only complaint is that the book is too short. I would have loved to read more. On the other hand, the book is fast paced, you never get bored, you can read it very fluently. You just don't notice that time is running.

I don't want to tell the story here, you need to read it. I love the way both hero and heroine are described; Not just perfect but with little flaws in behavior. I especially like Sam because she is neither the fragile beauty with a core of steel nor the kick butt fighter woman(these are the stereotypes for female characters). She is a bit of both and then mostly herself - and she knows what she wants without being hard core. Nice done. And well, Micah....hm...yummy..and so conflicting...

The subplots were very entertaining, too. And I'm very curious about Trace...yes, I need to know more.

The best features in the books? The dialogues. I grinned nearly the whole time, especially because they sounded so "right" and "normal". Does that make sense? They were funny, teasing and entertaining but not in an artificial way.
So the basics for more books are laid, too. I'm going to buy them.

The next one is due end of May and featuring a male couple.

I recently got back from a visit with my cousin (Phillip Phillips) who is on the show American Idol. We went out for dinner after the show & were bombarded by fans at the restaurant. Once we finished eating, we were followed by the paps for about 10 minutes!! I was right beside my cousin, so I'm in all of the pics of him!! Although it is cool for me to be on celeb blogs, it was very degrading & a blatant disregard for his/our privacy. I can't believe that the pics are already up & circulating the internet...well, actually I can. They may not have been after me, but I still felt the anxiety for having them follow us down the street & not leave us alone. I applaud all celebs who don't punch them in the face & break their camera, lol!

This is the name of the band formerly known as 100 Monkeys. 100 Monkeys band members, Ben Johnson and Ben Graupner, along with new members, Rob Coonrad and Mat Black, make up this band which will cover 100 Monkeys songs and are working on new material.

Hello, everyone. I realized I really needed to join this group after now making my way through all the books for the third time and watching all the movies numerous times.

I've been trying to figure out my new obsession (it started October 2011) and I've concluded that it has to do with finally getting the correct reading glasses and coming to terms with the fact that I haven't had a real vacation in years. Sometimes you just have to escape and this is the most cost-efficient and convenient way for me at this time.

I'm a 46 year old mom of a 10 year old girl and a 6 year old boy and they love sparkly vampires, too. My husband hasn't read the books, but he will sit through most of a movie now and then. My husband has always had a way of understanding women so I'm quite fortunate to have a man that lets me indulge and he'll even ask questions about plot lines and motivations. It's fun filling him in with information from the books that are not featured in the movies.
